Freeze Pop Fridays!
Freeze Pop Friday is back! School Council members and Mrs Sexton will be selling Freeze Pops on the playground on a Friday from after half term. Hopefully the weather will stay nice and a freeze pop will be just what we need!
Summer Fayre 2016!
School council will be running 2 stalls at the summer fayre! We will also be holding a non-uniform day in the run up to the event linked to one of our stalls! Keep an eye out for letters!
Thank you to all the school council members who may be able to help on the day too! Let's hope the sun shines!
Summer Fayre 2016!
School council are hoping to be able to help at the Summer Fayre this year! Let us know if you have any ideas!
Sport Relief 2016!
Well done to everyone who came to school dressed as something or someone linked to a sport! As a school, we raised over £150.00 for this great cause and the shoe box money boxes you decorated and collected your money in looked great! A lot of time and effort went into them! Well done!
Christian Values Poster Competition!
School Council members were given the opportunity to create a poster and enter it into our competition. The poster had to be based around one or more Christian values.
Well done to everyone who took part. The posters all looked great and will be displayed around the school!
Congratulations to our Winners!
Sport Relief 2016!
School Council will be working with Miss Thomas, our PE Subject Leader, to help make arrangements for Sport Relief 2016! This year we will be doing something a little different so keep an eye out for updates coming soon!
Welcome back to the Spring Term!
Once again the school council will be very busy working together for different causes. The dates of the meetings for this half term are on the PSHE board in the corridor and we will be talking about how we can make our school greener, our Christian values and perhaps a competition or two!
Children in Need Fundraising
Congratulations! As a school we have raised just over £184 for Children in Need!
This is combined total of all the events from the Children in Need week from the non-uniform and bake sale to individual fundraising groups of children organised. Well done to those on the school council for all their hard work and also to the children who came up with their own ideas.
I am very proud of the whole school and I am sure our donations will make a huge difference to Children in Need.
Well done!
Children in Need
School Council wanted to support Children in Need. As a school we sent off for the Champions of Change pack and our councillors were awarded Champions of Change badges in one of our celebration assemblies.
For non uniform day on 12th November the children and staff came dressed in spots or as superheroes and will be holding a bake sale to raise even more money on 13th November at break time!
Well done children, you have all put in a lot of effort and your costumes look fab!
Remembrance
Our school council wanted to do something on Armistice Day to remember our fallen soldiers.
The children on the council made a wreath and on 11th November we walked to the church to lay the wreath at the war memorial after our two minutes silence in school.
Well done children!
School Council Elections
Each class nominated their school councillors to represent them at meetings.
Our council is made up of children from year's one to six. FS children will join us in the Summer Term!
Within the council the children then held a secret ballot to appoint our Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer from years 5 and 6.
